Charles Augustus Steen III was born in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. His creative journey began with Dungeons & Dragons, BMX racing, and New Wave bands in the 1980s before studying at the San Francisco Art Institute. He spent years creating theatrical works in the San Francisco Bay Area, later producing plays in Portland, Oregon, and exploring Toronto’s alternative arts scene. A devoted reader of fiction and history, Steen composes classical music and draws inspiration from solitude, imagination, and personal discovery. His work explores storytelling, symbolism, and the mysterious connections between culture, history, and human experience—preferably accompanied by a well-crafted cocktail.
